Andrew Doyle takes on drunken hecklers and gets a pint in the face for his trouble
Spiky comedian Doyle ejects drunken punters from his show at The Caves — but not before one of them decides to throw his drink over the former teacher

Hecklers are not uncommon at the Fringe, but when one group just wouldn't stop disrupting the show, former english teacher Andrew Doyle asked them to leave his show. The group eventually did leave, but as they were doing so Doyle took a pint in the face. 

Writing about the incident on Chortle, Doyle said: "I told them that they would have to leave. They were ruining the show for everybody else, and I wouldn’t continue until they had gone. The problem was that they didn’t want to go. The combination of alcohol and a poor education meant that they didn’t understand that they were totally sabotaging the evening. The tension in the room was palpable."
